Pastor's Pages
Welcome to my pages. I am John Tyrell and I have
been the Senior Leader at HPC since 1996. My wife, Sandra, is my assistant at the church. Here we
are with our two girls.
I have a good team of leaders with me, and benefit from a
committed and loyal congregation. We have a number of people capable of
preaching, including the Rev. Graham Ball who assists with the Tuesday Night
Bible Studies.
Our vision is to see HPC continue to grow to become a
church of significance in the community.
We are convinced that the local church is the prime
expression of the Kingdom of God in the world and part of God's
answer for the needs of a hurting, lost humanity.
In Christ's name and because of his love, we seek to serve
our community with Social Action, responding to various needs as we are
able.
We are convinced of the need to preach and declare the
Word of God, knowing that its power and wisdom is what is needed for people
to find hope, peace and a full and meaningful life.
We are convinced that the church can only fulfil her
mandate by moving in the power and enabling that comes from its members
being full of the Holy Spirit, able to use spiritual gifts.
